CONVENTION
REPORT
With the theme for the '65 Convention being "Men, Equipment & Ideas" mason contractors attending added another ingredient, that being "Action". Starting out at a brisk pace on Saturday, the activities gathered momentum which carried on through to the final Executive Board Meeting on Wednesday.
At the Annual Meeting on Tuesday afternoon held in the Cleveland Room, Lester Dietrich, St. Louis, Mo., was re-elected President of the MCAA. Also re-elected were Anhony Perri, Brooklyn, N.Y., Vice President, and Frank Laureys, Barrington, III., Treasurer. Elected Secretary was Donald Stevens, Milwaukee, Wis. Re-elected Regional Vice Presidents were David Sibbald, Newington, Conn., and Leonard Eden, Toronto, Canada. Newly elected Regional Vice Presidents are: O. L. Jollay, Atlanta, Ga.; Donald Bidwell, Detroit, Mich.; C. DeWitt Brown, Dallas, Texas; John Yoxen, Las Vegas, Nev., and Fred Frodesen, Seattle, Wash.
Following the President's Reception on Saturday afternoon, President Lester Dietrich cut the ribbon that officially opened the '65 MCAA Educational Trade Show in the exhibition area of the Sheraton-Cleveland Hotel. The exhibits this year were outstanding with many firms showing new products and equipment in newly constructed displays which attractively and graphically presented their message.
