KOEHRING BUYS WEST
Koehring Company of Milwaukee and West Brick Buggy Corporation of Cleveland completed an agreement under which Koehring will acquire the capital stock of West in exchange for cash.
According to Julien R. Steelman, Koehring president and board chairman, the product lines made by West will be moved to Wisconsin, where they will be manufactured and marketed by Koehring's PCM Division at Port Washington. The acquired firm's line includes brick buggies and mortar buggies for moving brick, block and mortar at construction sites; high-lift buggies for transporting the same materials and elevating them to a height of ten feet; and special hydraulic front-end tractors for raising loads of 2,500 lbs. or more to heights above thirty feet.
The new lines complement those now manufactured by the PCM Division of Koehring Company, including mixers, material handling machines and earthboring equipment for construction applications.
