Diamond Core Bits

Eveready Industries, Inc., Kansas City, Missouri, has introduced a new series of diamond core bits, known as Evr-Sharp, which outlast conventional throw-away bits as much as 250% at no sacrifice in drilling speed.

As the name implies, these remarkable new bits stay sharp and keep drilling until the last bit of quality processed diamond grit is used. In the usual type of throw-away bit, a considerable amount of diamond remains unused when the bit will no longer cut.

Because of the special bonding process of Evr-Sharp bits, and their self-sharpening feature, they drill at a constant, fast speed throughout the life of the bit. Drilling time for conventional throw-away bits increases with each hole drilled until the bit will drill no more.

Evr-Sharp core bits feature hand gauge stones to maintain the desired side clearance and to increase drilling speed.

The unique design of Evr-Sharp core bits allows them to be used with a minimum of coolant water, making them ideal for drilling where a surplus of waste water would be objectionable.

Eveready Evr-Sharp core bits feature factory attached adaptors combining the bit and the adaptor at the factory. Eveready precision line-up eliminates chance for "bit run-out" and adds greatly to bit life, and eliminates down time from having damaged, or wrong sized adaptor parts.

Evr-Sharp diamond core bits are sold by leading distributors throughout the U.S.A. For more information or for the name of your nearest Eveready Distributor, contact Eveready Industries, Inc., P.O. Box 9652, Kansas City, Missouri 64134. Phone Willow 2-3216.

A new handbook for users and purchasers of industrial and special service tires has been published by the Tire Division of the Rubber Manufacturers Association. The 24-page booklet covers both pneumatic and solid tires; tires for both slow-speed vehicles, fork trucks, mobile homes, boat trailers and pressed-on solid industrial tires.

Profusely illustrated, the manual is designed to acquaint tire users with preventive measures which will help achieve maximum industrial tire service. It places major emphasis on the selection of the right tire for the right job, which consideration, according to RMA, can often reduce replacement costs by as much as 50 per cent.

The RMA publication features pages of maximum load, inflation and speed tables for all sizes and ply ratings of industrial and special service tires. Service and maintenance suggestions accompany all tables.

In special selections detail mounting procedures, spell out rules for longer industrial tire life and depict various types of tire abuse which lead to failure.

Curing Machine

The Clipper Manufacturing company of Kansas City announces the addition of a complete series of portable curing machines to their expanding line of paving produces. These highly portable units are excellent for spraying side edges of concrete slabs, for short pavement runs, driveways, sidewalks, parking lots, for use on concrete curbs and gutters and many other smaller inaccessible areas. These machines can also be used for spraying form oil.

The Model CM-3300 minimizes drum handling as it features a self-filling, self contained 33 gallon tank. It is specifically designed for spraying sides of concrete after forms are removed. It can also be used for many other jobs. The pump connects directly to the 3 H.P. engine, eliminating belts. An efficient by-pass system returns the unused material to the tank. This agitates the compound and prevents settling or separation. The nozzle spray is easily adjustable. Puncture proof cushion tires eliminate tire repair and down time.

The Model CM-5500 is a cart mounted unit that utilizes 55 gallon drums of curing compound or form oil. It has the same engine, pump, by pass and hand spray as the CM-5500. Can quickly and easily be moved to the spray area by hand or in a pick up truck.

The CM-7700 is a skid mounted unit used in conjunction with a 55 gallon drum of curing compound or form oil. Equipped with handles for easy lifting and carrying, the CM-1700 can be operated from the back of a pick up truck.

All three models of Clipper curing machines are available with heavy duty material pumps.

Clipper also offers a portable drum agitator for thoroughly mixing curing compound in the original drum. The model CM-3000 is lightweight and portable. The agitator shaft tilts and adjusts up or down for vigorous stirring action to all areas of the drum.
