Masonry Contractor Cuts Erection Time to One-Third with MORGEN Scaffolding

To brick 84 two-story buildings in a low-rent housing project in Montgomery, Ala., James A. Alexander Masonry Co. bought enough Morgen scaffolding to completely surround two structures, each 101' x 26'8".

The ability to move Morgen in pairs of towers completely erected was the deciding factor in his choice of scaffolding.

While masons worked on one building, a forklift with one operator and two laborers moved the scaffolding from the last completed building to the next to be bricked. This operation took six hours, including 40 minutes to stock the scaffolding with enough brick to veneer the whole building.

Actually, only one complete erecting and dismantling of scaffolding was necessary for all 89 buildings. Moving to each new site and making minor adjustments took one-third the time that would be required by conventional scaffolding or any other climbing scaffolding, Alexander said.

Reduction of scaffolding labor is only one of the ways Morgen scaffolding pays off for Alexander and hundreds of other contractors. Write for the full story on Morgen's saving program today.
