Dan Stupek has been named corporate advertising manager for Koehring, according to Martin B. Jaeger, director of promotional services. The appointment of Ralph (Rudy) Valentino to the position of sales manager for mixer/material handling equipment at PCM Division of Koehring has been announced by Robert T. Siderits, Division general sales manager. Gene C. Marter has been appointed to the position of Technical Engineer in the Chicago District of Huron Cement.

Money rates are the actual cause of high construction costs.

William J. Bourke has been appointed District Manager for the Chicago District of Zonolite Operations of W. R. Grace & Co.'s Construction Products Division. Charles W. Walton has been appointed General Counsel and has also been elected Secretary at Koehring, Milwaukee, Wis. Guy P. Bauman has been appointed Manager of Production Planning at Pittsburgh Corning Corp. Election of Jurgen F. Ringer as Vice President and General Manager of the Peninsular Division, General Portland Cement Co., was announced recently by L. James Wade, Jr., Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.

AED Convenes in Chicago

Vigorous business sessions designed to help close the management pinch coming up in the 70's will highlight the 51st Annual Meeting of Associated Equipment Distributors (AED). Titled "Management NOW," the 1970 AED Convention will draw some 4,000 manufacturer and distributor executives to Chicago's Conrad Hilton Hotel from January 17-21.

Convention Chairman Thomas R. Roughton of Freeway Equipment Company, Minneapolis, Minn., states that "The "Management NOW' concept seemed a natural one after the Committee came to the realization that American business and particularly the equipment industry-is in for some rude awakenings in the years ahead.
