AED's senior vice president, P. E. MacAllister, who also heads MacAllister Machinery Co., Inc., Indianapolis, presented the views of the 1,400 member organization during of Labor hearings in Washington last month.

Fifteen other organizations and firms also appeared to submit statements on the proposed safety and health standards dealing with rollover protective structures (ROPS) and overhead protection, which were published in the Federal Register last October 29.


Lesser Commissioned
for Three HUD Projects

Reinhard Lesser, AIA, head of Reinhard Lesser & Associates, Inc., Studio City, Calif., has been commissioned to do three HUD Section 236 projects in Pasadena and Los Angeles.

The projects include Villa Lake, 1070 Lake Ave., Pasadena, a 114-unit low-cost apartment complex for senior citizens, and Villa St. Andrews, 1840 St. Andrews Place, a three-story, 14-unit apartment building with subterranean parking, and Villa Wilton, 1419 S. Wilton, an 18-unit apartment building with a subterranean garage. The latter two projects are located in Los Angeles.

Total cost of construction was estimated at $1,660,000.

The new marketing unit has been appointed exclusive U.S. distributor for the Kango line of rotary electric hammers for drilling in concrete and other masonry products. In commenting on this new activity, John Worcester, president, said: "This alliance between Kango Electric Hammers, Ltd. of London, England and ourselves is a natural extension of our commitment to the contractor."
