NADD Report

Washington, D.C.-NADD is pleased to report a recent new member, Haley Sales Agency, Inc. of Athens, Ga. Founded in Elberton, Ga. in 1946, the company moved to Athens in 1967. During the last 12 years its principal product sold has been brick, serving all of northeast Georgia and four counties in South Carolina.

The firm has displays showing more than 300 samples from eight major companies, depicting all sizes and types of brick for commercial and residential construction. President William H. Haley, Sr. indicates a tremendous increase in sales in the past few years and says that plans are being formulated to further increase volume and improve service. The official NADD representative is the Secretary of Haley Sales Agency. Inc., Edward G. DeAngelis.

The March 27th Board of Directors meeting in Chicago was most successful, and several areas of interest were discussed. Committees have been most active, and there was unanimous desire to expand NADD programs and issues. It has been obvious by the recent growth of the Association that the organization is becoming more widely known and establishing itself as a must for all distributors and dealers.


Louisville Cement
Promotes 5 in Sales
Gene P. Gardner, executive vice president. Louisville Cement Co., Louisville, Ky., has announced five sales organization promotions.

J. Gary Watson, district sales manager in Indianapolis, becomes general sales manager for the Speed-Logansport operations and will be located in Louisville. He will direct all field sales functions.

Benjamin C. Crawford, district sales manager, has been given additional responsibilities as sales manager, southeastern division, Charlotte, N.C.

Harold E. Meier, formerly a district sales manager, in his new position as sales manager-central division will be responsible for sales in Kentucky, Southern Indiana and Western Ohio.

James R. Glaser, located in Logansport, Ind., has been promoted to sales manager, northern district. He previously was district sales manager.

Charles F. Surratt was named sales manager-administration. Previous to this he was manager-market research and sales service.
