and earthboring products, respectively. Jack Nordengren, sales manager for industrial products, is the other member of PCM's new marketing staff.

Sell, who has been with Koehring for over 34 years, has served the PCM division in several sales and service capacities since 1954. Kearns has been with Koehring for 21 years, most recently as marketing services manager at PCM.

Prior to his new appointment as sales manager for earthboring products, Barber had served as district manager for PCM for five years. Jack Nordengren is now sales manager for Mud-Jack concrete leveling equipment in addition to his previous responsibilities for sales and distribution of industrial mixers and aluminum ladle cleaning equipment.

PCM products are sold and distributed worldwide through a network of domestic and international dealers.


Cycling Hazards Soar
For those who enjoy cycling as a pastime and a means of staying in shape, the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System has come up with an interesting statistic. More than 1,000,000 Americans are involved in accidents each year related to bicycles.

As a consequence, the Food & Drug Administration is getting into the act with proposed regulations that are a combination of performance standards and structural requirements for bicycles.


Concrete Products Group Elects Hughes President
Ralph W. Hughes of Tampa, president of Cast-Crete Corporation of Florida, has been elected president of the Florida Concrete & Products Association at the organization's 19th annual convention in Palm Beach.

Other officers are R. D. Kline, vice president of Lehigh Portland Cement Co., Miami, vice president and William R. Griffith of Concrete Materials Corp., Lake Wales, secretary-treasurer. Hughes will head the largest state concrete products association in the nation with its members representing more than 90 per cent of the concrete block, ready-mix, precast and prestressed concrete production in the state. Florida is currently the nation's largest concrete block producer and also shares first place with California in ready-mixed concrete production.
