through a steel scaffold six stories high like it was a
matchbox."
Eurnie retired about four years ago and is living in
the house he built. He's proud of the fact that he didn't
drive a nail until he started the roof. He even drew the
plans and shot the grade.
He has taught a lot of young men stone work as well
as laying brick, tile and marble. The men that know Eurnie
Morgan, know that he is one of the best and are proud
that he had taught them.
The Bank of Time
If you had a bank that credited your account each
morning with $86,400, that carried over no balance
from day to day and every evening cancelled whatever
part of the amount you had failed to use during the
day-what would you do? Draw out every cent, of
course!
Well, you have such a bank, and its name is
"TIME." Every morning it credits you with 86,400
seconds. Every night it rules off, as lost, whatever
of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It
carries over no balances. It allows no overdrafts.
Each day it opens a new account with you. Each
night it burns the records of the day. If you fail to
use the day's deposits the loss is yours. There is no
going back. There is no drawing against tomorrow.
You must live in the present-on today's deposits.
Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health,
happiness and success.

Masonry Featured at Portland Show
A spectator's view of the contest and exhibit area for the
annual bricklayers' contest at this year's annual Home Show
in Portland, Ore. As part of the yearly event, 12 contestants
worked in this area for two evenings and on a Saturday after-
noon. All apprentices were identified along with the mason
contractor to whom they are indentured by a name card. A
running commentary on the training the apprentices receive
as well as personal interviews helped to keep the spectators
interested. TV coverage on three local channels gave the
event additional publicity.
