Form Promotion Group
The Masonry Institute of Memphis, comprised of the Mason Contractors Association of Memphis, BAC Local #1 of Tennessee, and Building Material Suppliers, was formed on July 1, 1976 to contribute to the growth of masonry construction in Memphis. MIM's primary objective is to acquaint architects, engineers, developers and building owners with the unmatched qualities of the material that has been the foremost building material since the beginning of recorded time.
MIM provides a central resource center for architects and engineers to turn to in regard to all phases of masonry construction. The new group's address is 5410 West Crestview Drive, Memphis, TN 38134 with the telephone 901/386-6451. W. A. Fortner is the Chairman of the Masonry Institute of Memphis.
27th Green Book Out
An all-new, 27th edition, of the Compilation of Nationally Averaged Rental Rates for Construction Equipment is now available from Associated Equipment Distributors (AED), Oak Brook, III.
The publication, known in the construction industry as "The Green Book," lists over 3,000 daily, weekly and monthly nationally averaged rental rates reported by distributors last year on some 125,000 sizes and types of equipment, ranging from small hand-held tools to giant earthmovers. Information is based on a comprehensive survey among the 900 AED member construction equipment distributor firms throughout the U.S.

SARA Meets In Atlanta
"The Business of Architecture" is this year's theme for the 20th Annual Convention of the Society of American Registered Architects (SARA). Celebrating "200 Years U.S.A.- 20 Years A.R.A.," the convention expects to attract members from across the country to its meeting November 18-20, at the Sheraton Biltmore Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.
The annual gathering will feature a special salute to the organization's founder, Wilfred John Gregson, FARA, a practicing Georgia architect for the past 30 years.
It's New Orleans in 1977/January 21-27 at the Hyatt Regency.
