Pictured here are some highlights from MCAA's 1979 International Masonry Conference & Trade Show in Atlanta that, because of space limitations, were not included in the March Conference Report in Masonry.

Representatives of MCAA's newest Chapter from Southeastern Missouri are congratulated and presented with their official Association charter from membership chairman G. W. Veazey, Jr. (2nd from left). Accepting the charter is Robert Uding of Ste. Genevieve Building Stone, Ste. Genevieve, Mo. Also present for the ceremony during the Opening Session of the MCAA Conference on March 5 were Frank Uding (far left), Ste. Genevieve Building Stone, and Leslie Quertermous (far right), G. T. Masonry, Inc., Jackson, MO.

The ladies' program at the MCAA Conference offered many entertaining activities for members' wives. This segment was called "Disco Fever" and featured instruction on the nation's newest dance craze by one of Atlanta's most popular disco teachers. The ladies also learned about astrology, received tips on stretching their wardrobes, and went on a sightseeing tour of Atlanta.

One of the happy winners of MCAA's "Place The Face" contest was Richard Harris (right), president of MCA of Charleston, Va. Harris receives his second place cash prize of $75 from MCAA executive vice president George A. Miller. First prize of $150 plus the Conference Registration Package was won by Harry Cohen of Skokie, Ill. The $25 third place winner was Hale Olson, Ampress Brick Co., Des Plaines, Ill. The contest centered on identifying pictures of individuals who were prominent in the masonry industry 25 years ago.

One of a number of forklifts demonstrated outdoors in the parking area of the Atlanta Marriott Hotel during the MCAA Masonry Industry Showcase.
