BIA Introduces Two New Marketing Aids

The Brick Institute of America has available two new marketing aids-a slide show, Brick. The Greatest Building Material Under the Sun, An Informative Guide to Passive Solar Housing, and a poster, Principles of Passive Solar Heating.

The slide show is designed for general audiences and builders, and makes an attractive introduction to passive solar heating. The poster would make an ideal handout in conjunction with the slide show, or at home shows as a handout by itself.

The slide show is priced at $50; the posters are 50c each singly, or 25€ each in quantities of 100 or more. Contact: Maureen M. Cunningham. Promotion Assistant, BIA, 1750 Old Meadow Rd., McLean, VA 22102, (703) 893-4010.

Park Tool Co. Unveils Masonry Saw Machine

Park Tool Co., St. Cloud. Minn.. long-time manufacturer of Hydrasplit stone production equipment, is introducing its first diamond blade saw machine. The new Model B60-14 is a "bridge type" saw with a 60 diamond blade. It is said to be ideal for the high speed production of slant markers and the sawing of joints and ends.

"For the last few years we have been working with top quality diamond saw machines from the Netherlands," said Tom Schlough, president of Park Tool. "However, increasing import duties, lengthy lead times and service parts and problems did not allow for the prompt service and supply that our customers require and expect."

The new machines will be made entirely at the company's St. Cloud plant, with all components 100 percent American made, Schlough said.

Moving On

"With a car like that, my advice is to keep it moving," instructed the mechanic. "Why?" asked the owner. "If you ever stop, the police will think it's an accident."
