Retired MCAA member Frank J. Zoubek and his wife recently returned from an extensive tour of the Middle East. "Of great interest was the work of the master builders of that day," Frank writes. "The pyramids and sphinx in Egypt, ruins of what were once magnificent temples, structures in the Holy Land, and the masterpiece of architecture of the Acropolis in Athens-all of enduring masonry." Frank, now 83, and his wife are enjoying good health and reside at 4042-7th Ave., Kenosha, Wis. 53140.

Edward S. Rayney, president of Brickast, Inc., Hamilton, Ohio, has been elected president of the Unit Masonry Association of Greater Cincinnati. Serving with him for 1981 are Jack Brown of J & J Contractors as vice president and Bob Sahnd of Smith Brick Co. as secretary-treasurer. Richard F. Mason, president of H. F. Mason Equipment Co., Lakeland, Fla., has been elected 1981 president of Associated Equipment Distributors. Norton Co., Worcester, Mass., has elevated William L. St. Clair to general manager of its Construction Products Division.

Marblehead Lime Co., Chicago, Ill., has promoted William Haubold to vice president/treasurer. Marblehead operates six lime plants in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Utah. General Portland. Inc., New Braunfels, Texas, has announced the retirement of Scott Rogers Jr. as president and the appointment of William D. Jones III as senior vice president with responsibility for many of the operational areas directed by Rogers.
