Meet MCAA's New...
VICE PRESIDENT
W. C. DENTINGER, JR.
Bill Dentinger has to be an All-American in promoting masonry. He once composed and paid for an advertisement in the Milwaukee Sentinel offering a "Special on sports arenas-10% off." Unfortunately he had no takers, but his spirit remains undiminished.
Forty-two years of age, Bill graduated from Marquette University High School in 1957, and from the U.S. Navy four years later. From 1961 through May, 1975 he was a stockholder and secretary/treasurer of Superior Masonry Builders, Inc. in Milwaukee. In June, 1975 he formed his own company, Bill Dentinger, Inc., doing commercial, industrial and institutional masonry subcontracting in the seven-county metropolitan Milwaukee area.
Bill's interest and direct involvement in industry affairs began in 1964. Locally he has served as an officer and director of the Mason Contractors Association of Milwaukee three times and is a founding director of the Masonry Institute of Wisconsin.
He is a director of the Allied Construction Employers Association, a federation of 18 industry trade associations in Milwaukee, chairing and serving on various committees including chairmanship of the Laborer Bargaining Committee. He is a trustee of the Milwaukee Building Trades United Pension Trust Fund and chairman of its Eligibility Committee. In 1981 he was named Construction Man of the Year by the Allied Construction

GERALD DUFOUR
Jerry Dufour is president of Ma-Con Construction Corp., headquartered in the Milwaukee suburb of Germantown, Wis. His firm specializes in masonry, concrete and carpentry in the commercial, industrial and institutional fields. He is also president of Gencon Corp., a general contracting and engineering firm.
Jerry earned a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1953. Following graduation he served two years with the Army Corps of Engineers. After the service, he worked as a field engineer, estimator and general manager for various general contracting firms prior to co-founding Ma-Con Construction Corp. in 1963.
Prior to his election as secretary of the Mason Contractors Association of America, he was a regional vice president of the association, served as chairman of the Safety Committee, and was a member of the Finance Committee. In 1977 he received the association's Outstanding Committee Chairman of the Year Award. He also is listed in the current issue of Who's Who in the Midwest.
Jerry is active in numerous local industry and civic organizations. He is a past president, secretary and director of the Mason Contractors Association of Milwaukee, and is a founding director of the Masonry Institute of Wisconsin. He is a trustee of the Milwaukee Mason Welfare and Vacation Fund, and serves on various committees.
TREASURER
C. DEWITT BROWN
Dee Brown is president and board chairman of Dee Brown Masonry, Inc., Dallas, Texas, one of the foremost mason contracting firms in the Southwest. His firm has completed masonry assignments on many major buildings in the Dallas area and was responsible for the intricate masonry work on the widely acclaimed Anatole Hotel in Dallas, where MCAA held its 30th Annual Masonry Conference in 1980.
With MCAA, Dee is past Texas state chairman, past regional vice president and past president of the MCAA Dallas Chapter. He presently is a member of the association's Masonry Panel Contractors Committee. He also was a trustee and vice chairman of the board of the International Masonry Institute and currently is a board member of the IMI Market Development Program.
In masonry industry affairs, Dee is president of Associated Masonry Contractors of Texas; director of the Texas State Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee for Bricklayers and board chairman of the Bricklayers Health & Welfare Plan of Texas. He was chairman of the Joint Industry Promotion Committee of the Associated Masonry Contractors of Texas, and is a past president of that group.
He is a director of the Dallas Building Trades Joint Promotion & Apprenticeship Training Program for Equal Employment Opportunity and the North Texas Contractors Association.
