# PRE-CONFERENCE SEMINARS
MCAA's Pre-Conference Seminars-consisting of three presentations-will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, and conclude at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, January 27. Topics to be covered are: "Masonry Estimating for a Profit," "Masonry Panel Anchoring Systems," and "Masonry Systems Marketing." (Consult the MCAA Conference Program in this issue for registration hours, meeting dates and room assignments. Important Note: The Pre-Conference Seminars require special registration and are not part of the regular Conference registration.)

# MEETINGS & WORKSHOPS
MCAA Committee meetings will be held Saturday, January 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30p.m. Consult the Conference Program in this issue for room assignments. These meetings are open to all active MCAA Members who are urged to attend and provide their input.
An Industry Promotion meeting will be conducted Sunday, January 29, at 10:00 a.m., in Ballrooms B & C. This meeting will be devoted to discussions of current promotional programs being utilized by the International Masonry Institute and various local/regional masonry promotion groups in the U.S. and Canada.
The Opening Session of the Conference will convene on Monday, January 30, at 9:30 a.m. in the Ballroom area, with President Donald O. Leonard presiding.
The MCAA Executive Board will meet twice-on Monday, January 30, at 3:00 p.m., and Wednesday, February 1 at 9:30 a.m., in Burgundy Rooms A & B.
# ANNUAL MEETING & ELECTION OF OFFICERS
To be held Tuesday, January 31, at 1:30 p.m. in Ballrooms G & H. MCAA Members only. Badges must be worn for admittance.
# MCAA EDUCATIONAL TRADE SHOW
The '84 MCAA Show will run for three days, from Saturday, January 28, to Monday, January 30, in the French Market. This year's presentation will be geared toward one-on-one discussions between MCAA Members and the manufacturers' representatives.
# TRADE SHOW HOURS
Saturday, January 28 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Sunday, January 29 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Monday, January 30 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
# PRESIDENT'S RECEPTION
This social hour will be held Saturday, January 28, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. All MCAA Members and their ladies are invited. Badges must be worn for admittance. The reception will immediately be followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opening the '84 MCAA Trade Show.
# BUFFET LUNCHEON
A delicious buffet luncheon will be served from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. in the French Market exhibit area. (Admission by ticket only. Tickets are in your Conference registration packet, or you may purchase them separately at the MCAA Registration Desk.)
# LADIES ACTIVITIES
A special program will be available to MCAA ladies during the Conference. The LeClub will serve as the ladies hospitality room and gathering place for relaxation and information concerning ladies activities.
# WHAT TO WEAR IN NEW ORLEANS
New Orleans has a balmy, subtropical climate, with an average mean temperature of 70 degrees. In the spring, summer and fall, lightweight clothing is most comfortable. During winter months, however, heavier clothing is the rule, with the January temperatures in the 60-degree range.
