Kevin Callahan, v.p. of engineering for the National Concrete Masonry Association, recently underwent open-heart surgery and holds the dubious honor of leading the pack in bypasses with five! We're pleased to report he is making a fast recovery at his home. J. Gregg. Borchelt, executive director of the Masonry Institute of Houston-Galveston and a lecturer on construction materials at Rice University School of Architecture, has been elected director, South Central Region of the Construction Specifications Institute.

Norman Eatherton, Colorado Mason Contractor, Dies
Norman A. Eatherton, well-known mason contractor in the Colorado area, died May 9 in Denver. Mr. Eatherton was extremely active in the Colorado Mason Contractors Association and was that group's president in 1978. He served MCAA on its Education Committee and was active in many other industry programs. Mr. Eatherton was president of Eatherton Masonry, which he operated for more than 30 years. He was born January 3, 1923, in Bevier, Mo., and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Bonna Jean; a daughter, Norma L. Propp, of Yuma, Ariz.; two sons, Gordon W. and Davis S., both of Denver; a sister, Marie McCracken, of Costa Mesa.

Next time you see Walter Derk, MCAA's insurance consultant, ask him what he hears lately from Mr. Coyote, mascot of the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association... Donald F. Peters, Jr., a specialist in labor and employment-related law representing management, has relocated his offices to 134 N. LaSalle St., Suite 2222, Chicago, IL 60602.
