A broad overview of striking architectural brick and pavers is presented in a new full-color, six-page fold-out brochure from

Architectural
Brick and Pavers

Huntington/Pacific Ceramics.

These high-strength, consistent-quality bricks are created from the unique clays found in the manufacturer's Alberhill mines. The wide varieties of shapes, sizes and colors of these products are all featured within the brochure. The literature showcases the rich color range of these bricks in a series of dramatic installation photos of financial institutions, university campus structures, office buildings, residences and parking areas. Sharp angles, unusual paver combinations and attractive textured surfaces are highlighted. The brochure explains how harder, more dense bricks promote a slower cure and stronger bond. Faster installation and cleaning procedures as well as resistance to efflorescence are also covered. The literature may be obtained by writing to Huntington/Pacific Ceramics, P.O. Box 1149, Corona, CA 91718-1149 or calling (714) 371-5320.

K-D Manitou has introduced a new 6000-lb.-capacity, 4-wheel drive telescoping-boom lift truck, the Reach Chief R622-4TC.

The machine can lift its full capacity of 6000 lbs. to 22 feet. With an optional 6-foot mast extension, it reaches 28 feet with as much as 3200 lbs. It offers a forward reach of 11 feet 5 inches and has a turning radius of only 14% feet. This 6000-lb. truck joins the 5000-lb., 2- and 4-wheel drive R522-2/4TC as an ideal lift truck for use on construction sites. A "Quick Connect" carriage is standard on the unit and allows the "90 second" interchange of attachments to keep the truck productive from job start-up to clean-up. Among these are a hook jib, slope-piling masonry carriage with block or brick forks, digging bucket, loose material bucket and multi-purpose clam shell bucket. Standard K-D Manitou features include a proven 80 hp diesel engine for excellent horsepower-to-weight rations and a syncronized 4-speed power-reversing, "soft shift" torque converter transmission. A safe load warning system provides both audible and/or visual signals to the operator as the working load reaches 75% to 105% of the machine's rated capacity. For more information on the Reach Chief R622-4TC or the R522-2/4TC, contact the Sales Department, K-D Manitou, 800/433-3304, or any K-D Manitou dealer.

Volclay below-grade waterproofing panels from American Colloid Company now feature a synthetic resin coating designed to prevent hydration during installation.

An integral part of the corrugated panel sheathing, the coating protects the bentonite from premature hydration during installation. As a result, backfilling need not immediately follow installation. American Colloid's Volclay Panels shield walls and underslabs from ground water leakage for decades, needing virtually no maintenance. Installation is simple and requires considerably less time than alternative methods. Panels are nailed in place on walls or positioned beneath floors during pouring. No special equipment is needed, and the panels may be installed in any season or at any temperature. American Colloid's Volclay Panels provide maximum protection against ground water leakage with a minimal of time and expense. Volclay Panels are a product of American Colloid Company, the world's leading producer of bentonite-based products.
