protect the financial interests of its members and their employees regarding the pension fund.
There are other challenges facing us. We must get the nearly 200 new members involved into the how and why that created and maintains MCAA. They shouldn't have to discover on their own what many years of experience has already uncovered.
Accordingly we have a responsibility to pass on the leadership of our association-not so fast that leadership isn't earned, but not so slow that our current and new members feel frustrated.
These past several years we've made great strides, but there's still a long way to go. Balancing the wants of both the defenders of the old and the supporters of the new will take time and hard work. But we will do it. We must. We can't stand still. Richard Matthews, President
