Colin C. Brown has been named vice president of sales and marketing for the Triangle Brick Company. For the past seven years he was an architectural sales representative for Custom Brick Company and previously to that he was with Cherokee Brick Company.
John Fizzano, vice president and treasurer of Fizzano Brothers Concrete Products, has been elected president of the Pennsylvania Concrete Masonry Association. Also elected to serve on the board of directors were Joe DuFour of Rennekamp Supply Company, Barry Emich of Binkley and Ober, Donald Dunlap of Faddis Concrete Products, Paul Pepe of Keystone Cement Company, Andy Plank of LaFarge Cement and Joel Shaffer of Shaffer Block and Concrete Products.
The American Society for Testing Materials has broken ground for its new international headquarters on the bank of the Schuylkill River in a suburb fifteen miles from Philadelphia. The new building will have four floors of office space and meeting rooms and three floors of parking area.
Outwater Plastic/Industries has announced the formation of a new company, Architectural Products. The new company will cater to the special needs of builders, remodelers, and architects. Their most popular line is their moulding and trim.
Master Builders, a company which manufactures admixtures for concrete and concrete masonry, has formed an alliance with Newblock Corporation of Belle River, Ontario, to license the technology to manufacture a patented block system that controls water seepage through block walls.
The Rawlplug Company has moved to an expanded branch location at 6695B Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Norcross, Georgia. This new branch will serve the Georgia, Alabama, the Florida panhandle and the Chattanooga, Tennessee areas.
Larry Palmquist, project manager for Adolfson and Peterson, was elected president of the Minnesota Concrete and Masonry Contractors Association. Other officers and directors elected were president elect Steve Bulach of E.L. Bulach Construction; secretary Jim Mortenson of PCL Construction; treasurer Jim Pederson of Concrete Accents; general contractor representative, Joe Maertens of Maertens-Brenny Construction; masonry and concrete contractor representatives Jim Mahon of Jesco, Incorporated and Joe Janowiak of Halverson Concrete; associate member representatives Jim Crotty of Holnam, and Tom Richardson of Lafarge Corporation.
John Heslip has announced plans to retire as president of the National Concrete Masonry Association effective January 31, 1996.
Sarah J. Wandtke has been promoted to marketing coordinator of PermaGrain Products. Her duties will include providing support to field based sales managers, coordinating international sales, arranging trade shows and scheduling educational seminars. Joy Brown has joined the company as a cus-
