Dimensions Unlimited of Berkeley remains on the boards as vice president. Kenneth F. Guthrie, architect and specifications consultant in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has been named secretary. Knox H. Tomlin, architect for the City of New Orleans, and William F. Riesberg, Riesberg Lunn Architects and Engineers, have been named treasurer and immediate past president, respectively.
Paul W. Ferguson, Thomas E. Tucker, Jr., and Mark E. Commins have been appointed branch managers for Hertz Equipment Rental. Ferguson has been named manager of the firm's Ayden, North Carolina facility, Tucker of their Macon, Georgia facility, and Commins of their Houston, Texas operation.
The Ohio Concrete Masonry Association is the new name of the Ohio Concrete Block Association. The new name was adopted as it better describes the variety of products associated with its members who, in addition to masonry units and standard block, also produce architectural block, pavers and segmental wall systems, and distribute brick and masonry accessories.
Greg Severyn has been named salesmanager of Sauerelsen, a Pittsburgh manufacturer of specialty cements. Severyn, formerly western regional manager, moves into the position previously held by Pat Connell, who was recently named company president.
Dennis Michels, a professional with more than 15 years of mechanical engineering experience, has been named an associate partner in the Manhattan based firm of Ambrosino, DePinto and Schmieder.
Mike Shehan, vice president and general manager of Mobile Premix Sand and Gravel has been named chairman of the National Stone Association's quarrying and reclamation committee.
Chris S. Stinebert has been named president of the National Concrete Masonry Association, replacing John Heslip, who has retired. Stinebert, who joined NCMA in April, was executive vice president of the American Subcontractors Association from 1981 to 1985.
Scott Clements, president-elect of the California Real Estate Inspection Service, has been appointed vice president of support services for Inspectech Corporation, a national franchiser of home inspection companies.
Krupp Mobilkrane has been acquired by Grove Crane. With the addition of the 14 all-terrain Krupp cranes, Grove will now offer over 60 models worldwide.

Boral Bricks has acquired Bickerstaff Clay Products Company, making it the largest brick manufacturer in North America. Bickerstaff is currently the fifth largest clay brick company in the U.S. with annual sales of more than $70-million. With the addition of Bickerstaff's seven plants in Georgia and Alabama, Boral has increased its annual capacity to approximately 1.5-million bricks, with annual sales of $200-million.
Ramesh P. Patel has been appointed senior vice president of engineering and Charles N. Schweitzer has been named senior vice president for quality assurance by Grove Worldwide. Formerly vice president of engineering for Grove Crane, Schweitzer has been with the firm since 1989. Patel, who joined Grove in 1973, replaces Eugene C. Gardenhour, who is retiring after 35 years with the company.
Hanson PLC has announced that its U.S. affiliate Grove Worldwide has signed an agreement with Krupp GmbH to acquire Krupp's mobile hydraulic crane business by purchasing its production assets and inventory at book value, about $50-million.
David Wells Beer, co-founding and design partner, Brennan Beer Gorman/Architects, has been elevated to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects.
Robb Jolly has been retained by the National Concrete Masonry Association as its new manager of housing. Jolly's hiring is part of NCMA's commitment to its Back to Basics Residential Marketing program, an effort to expand the residential market for block, paver and segmental retaining wall units. Prior to joining NCMA, Jolly had been in private practice as an architect in North Carolina. He recently received his MS in architecture from the University of North Carolina, where he wrote his thesis on concrete masonry.
Joseph A. Shull has been appointed president and COO of Grove Worldwide's crane business unit, succeeding Robert C. Stift, chairman and CEO who temporarily held the office. With the company since 1968, Shull was most recently senior vice president of sales and product support.
Fenimore-Blythe of Fort Worth, Texas, celebrated their 50th anniversary on May 5. The company, one of the leading masonry firms in central Texas, has completed many outstanding structures in that area. The celebration was held at Cowtown Corrals in Fort Worth.
Todd Forbush has joined Stow Manufacturing as their cutting specialist. Forbush's background includes extensive concrete cutting, crew supervision and distributor sales. Although he'll be traveling extensively, he'll be available via phone to diagnose problems.
ASTM has broken ground for its new national headquarters on the bank of the Schuylkill River in a suburban community some five minutes from the City Center of Philadelphia. The new building will have four floors of office space and meeting rooms and three floors of parking area.
Turner-Busch has named Anthony K. Flore and William H. Loyd to the board of directors. The additions coincide with the 70 year old general contracting firm's diversification into new construction markets. The company has now actively entered into the fields of municipal, corporate and interior construction.
E. Colette Nelson has been named executive vice president of the American Subcontractors Association. Formerly executive director of ASA, she succeeds Chris Stinebert, who resigned after fourteen years of service to the National Concrete Masonry Association.
Ramesh P. Patel has been appointed senior vice president of Engineers, Federal Way, Washington, is the new president of the American Concrete Institute. Mast succeeds Dean F. Stephens, of Charles Pankow Builders, Alladena, California.
Jerry Yokum and Mike Myslicki have been appointed district managers by Stone Construction Equipment. Yokum's territory includes the state of West Virginia and parts of Pennsylvania and Ohio. Myslicki's territory includes the states of Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Wisconsin and several provinces in Canada.
Paul Killeger, a retired Portland Cement Association official, has been awarded ACI's Robert E. Philleo Award for his outstanding contributions to the advancement of concrete technology through materials research.
The industrial coatings division of M.A.B. Paints and Coatings has been named M.A.B. Industrial Coatings to more accurately reflect the breadth of the company's product line.
Loydeen Mayhan, with fifteen years of experience in the face brick and masonry product business, has joined Summit Brick and Tile, Pueblo, Colorado, as a sales representative. Based in Longmont, she will concentrate on the residential market in northeastern Colorado and southeastern Wyoming.
Ronald Landolt, formerly a project manager for Turner Construction, St. Louis, has joined Paric Corporation, St. Louis, as a project manager.
