MCAA DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION ACCEPTS POSITION WITH ARIZONA MASON CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION
MCAA Director of Education Kim Shifflette has been selected as the full time Executive Director of the Arizona Mason Contractors Association.
The position entails overseeing the state's masonry apprenticeship program which trains roughly forty apprentices each year. In addition, she will become very active in recruiting new apprentices. Other responsibilities include serving as an industry liaison with construction customers, mobilizing the industry in becoming active in state government affairs and other duties as directed by the contractor board.
Currently, Kim handles the national association's workforce development efforts and contractor educational programs. She has been with the national office for nearly five years. "We are excited for Kim and the AMCA in their selection of Kim as their full time Executive Director. She has done a great job with the MCAA and has worked hard over the past three years in developing her skills as an association Executive Director. I'm glad that she is receiving this opportunity within the industry rather than having to leave our industry to further her career." Said MCAA Executive Director Mike Adelizzi "By keeping Kim in the industry, we both win."
