Makita Appoints New Marketing Manager of Emerging Markets

Makita USA, Inc., manufacturer of industrial power tools and accessories, is pleased to announce the latest member to its marketing team, Xavier Turpin. Turpin is Makita's new Marketing Manager of Emerging Markets and is responsible for the growth and development of the Hispanic market segment. His expertise and proven results in domestic and international sales and marketing, specifically in Hispanic marketing, will further leverage the Makita brand in new markets, under the direction of Makita's Senior Vice President of Marketing, Ken Hefley.

Turpin was born in Mexico City and has lived in the U.S. for 22 years, much of that time in San Antonio. He has over 15 years of professional experience in marketing, sales and business development. His former position prior to Makita was Marketing Director for Corona Clipper, a manufacturer of hand tools for professional landscape, agriculture and construction industries, in addition to the lawn and garden consumer market. The principal users of Corona's products are Hispanics, and in this position, Turpin strategically expanded the growth of Corona Clipper's product sales and brand awareness throughout the United States and Canada.

RSC-Prime Energy Announces Promotions

Rental Service Corporation (RSC), a construction equipment rental provider, announced several new promotions within its Prime Energy group.

Larry Wiedemann has been appointed to Human Resources Generalist and Safety Manager, located in La Porte, Texas. Wiedemann holds a bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University and brings many years of human resources and safety management experience to the position.

Frank McMahon has been promoted to the position of District Manager South, also located in La Porte. In his new position McMahon will have responsibility for the Rental Customer Centers in La Porte and Beaumont, Texas, Gonzales, La., and Covington, Ga. McMahon has many years of operational and sales management experience in the rental business.
