North Carolina State Fair Winners

Patrick Wilson, 19, of Barbee Masonry Contractors Inc. in Albemarle, N.C., is the champion of the 54th Annual North Carolina Department of Labor State Fair Apprentice Masonry Contest. Wilson finished first in a field of 23 contestants at the October event held at the State Fair Grounds in Raleigh. The masonry industry provided more than $10,000 in cash, tools, materials and equipment for the contest.
