MCAA CONVENTION
AT WORLD OF CONCRETE/WORLD OF MASONRY

It is my pleasure to invite you to Las Vegas for our annual convention and the World of Concrete/Masonry show. Many exciting things are happening at MCAA and in our industry today. I believe you will find this being reflected in our convention!

Remember the Excellence in Masonry awards from a couple of years ago? This year it is being replaced with the TEAM Awards that will show our industry off like it has not been shown in the past! It will be a great event and a great night. The education opportunities will be delivered by the best and will go toward certification. There will also be more education opportunities at the MCAA booth on the show floor. Our committees and board will be meeting and each of you are invited to these meetings. Your input is so important for the success of MCAA and each one of us as members.

I do not want us to forget our PAC event. I have mentioned a lot of important things, but this one may be the most important. We are trying to push bills through congress that will be very contractor friendly. It takes us all to give our support to achieve our goals. Maybe the greatest aspect of the convention is sharing our story with each other. I have not missed a convention since 1989 and I come back with more knowledge and a better ability to run our company every time. I can assure you that it is priceless.

Our "South 40" group is planning a fun evening and night at Hofbräuhaus in Las Vegas. These young people are our future leaders and I know you will be so impressed with what they have planned for you and me! Writing this makes me want to go next week rather than in January. I know it seems a ways off, but register early and save money.

By the way, don't hesitate to bring your boots and cowboy hat and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. We might have to dress up a couple of times, but to an ole cowboy, boots, hat, and nice jeans are dressy. This ole cowboy looks forward to seeing you at the convention in Las Vegas!
