Atlas Copco Construction Mining Technique USA is the distributor for MAI self-drilling anchors in the United States. Atlas Copco MAI GmbH sold its business related to self-drilling anchors to Minova, a member of the Australian group Orica Ltd. The arrangement will allow Atlas Copco to continue to provide product to its customer base at the same price levels and using the same part numbers as before the divestiture. MAl self-drilling anchors are rock bolts primarily used in civil engineering applications. Atlas Copco will continue its rock bolting business through the manufacture and distribution of Swellex and Roofex rock bolts.

Handy Search will become part of Proceq's comprehensive line of concrete testing equipment and will address specifically the need for deeper sensing of rebars and other metallic and non-metallic objects in concrete structures. The instrument uses radar technology by radiating electromagnetic waves through a concrete surface and catching reflected waves from embedded objects. This allows the object location and depth to be recorded and displayed as image data on the device or through a PC interface.
