"Our future depends on the skilled workforce of tomorrow, the continuing education of young architects coming from college into the design community and continuing to foster a good understanding between architects and masons," says Joyce Greer, executive director of the Masonry Institute. "Just as 'sustainability' has now become the most widely reference word in the construction industry vocabulary, we need to remain vigilant to sustain our masonry viability by promoting the many attributes it affords.

"The future of our industry holds many variables that we cannot control," Greer continues. "We feel strongly that this initiative holds promise for growing our market through the education and relationships it can build.
