Chicago Masonry Expo Is April 7

Save the Date! April 7, 2015 is the Chicago Masonry Expo at IMI’s Facility in Addison.

The Chicago Masonry Expo is just around the corner, coming April 7th to IMI in Addison. Here are the details:

What is it?
The Chicago Masonry Expo is an educational conference made up of seminars, masonry demonstrations, and exhibits.

When is it?
Tuesday April 7, 2015, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.

Where is it?
Park your vehicle at the Hilton Garden Inn, 551 N. Swift Rd., Addison, IL 60101.  From the hotel parking lot, board a shuttle for the short ride less than one mile to the BAC/IMI training center, 2140 Corporate Drive, Addison, IL 60101.

Who should go?
Architects, Engineers, GCs/CMs, Owners/Developers, BAC contractors, Code officials.

How much does it cost?
Electronic registration is $10, which covers breakfast, lunch, and a day’s worth of education from the masonry industry’s top presenters and exhibitors. Tickets are transferable but nonrefundable. IMI expects the event to sell out at 300 attendees, so get your tickets early.

Does the education count toward my profession’s requirements?
Yes, each seminar is registered with AIA, and most qualify for HSW learning units. Organizers will provide certificates on-site for self reporting of non-AIA members, and for PDH hours for engineers.

What companies will be exhibiting?
Expect to see about 30 material suppliers and other industry representatives exhibiting their products and services, representing all facets of the trowel trades: masonry, tile, terrazzo, plaster, rainscreens, stone, and more.

What are the seminar topics?
IMI will have two keynote presentations and four breakout sessions, which your choice of four topics each… that’s a total of 18 sessions to choose from! Each session is approximately 60 minutes. For a complete list of seminars, visit www.imiweb.org.

How can I be sure to get the classes I want?
Due to limited classroom size, IMI expects the classes to fill up quickly, therefore they encourage you to register early. If the breakout session you want is full, you would need to select another session for that time slot.
