In Memoriam: Ralph Soderberg

Words: Ralph Soderberg, Pat Borgmann, Mark Soderberg, Lynn DeCamp, Paul Soderberg, Dorothy ColeRalph A. Soderberg, 84, of Fort Collins, Colo., passed away Nov. 28, 2005.

Mr. Soderberg was born May 7, 1921, in Fort Collins to John and Wilhemina (Ek) Soderberg. He attended Colorado State University. Mr. Soderberg was united in marriage to Pat Borgmann on October 10, 1948, in Longmont. He and his wife founded and operated Soderberg Masonry Inc. for 50 years before selling the business. He was president of Colorado Masonry Contractors and served on various national boards for the Mason Contractors Association of America. He enjoyed gardening roses and trees, as well as skiing, fishing and traveling.

Mr. Soderberg is survived by his wife of 57 years, Pat Soderberg, of Fort Collins; one son, Mark Soderberg, of Fort Collins; one daughter, Lynn (Bob) DeCamp, of Twin Falls, Idaho; one brother, Paul Soderberg, of Lusk, Wyo.; one sister, Dorothy Cole, of Longview, Texas; and six grandchildren, Erik Soderberg, of Denver, Melanie Soderberg, of Fort Collins, Karsten (Jen) Roberts, of Boise, Idaho, Krista Roberts, of Twin Falls, Idaho, Robert DeCamp of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Sam DeCamp of San Francisco.

He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.

A memorial service was held Dec. 5 at the Fort Collins Hilton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association or the Arthritis Foundation in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO 80526.
