Welcomed by gunfights and witness to a live hanging, attendees for our night in the Old West can meander through shops and museums or learn how to line dance with a live western band. Dressed in your Old West Best, an old time photo shop is another option when finished enjoying the wax museum, silent movie house, cactus garden and shooting gallery.

On Thursday, February 10 from 6:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m., attendees of the 2000 MCAA Annual Convention and MASONRY SHOW will leave Las Vegas in style. First an elegant dinner will be held to say good-bye to President Donald Larsen as he completes his term and the MCAA welcomes Mr. Richard M. Johnston as the new MCAA President.

After dinner attendees will take Las Vegas by storm attending one of the hottest shows in Las Vegas. Due to unpublished schedules, the exact show has not been chosen. The top contenders are: "Mystere," a Cirque du Soleil masterpiece, blending acrobatics, dance, music and laughter into a completely unique and captivating entertainment experience. The lighting and choreography help fuse all the elements to continually rate this show the best production in Las Vegas; "Danny Gans" rated the best All-Around Las Vegas Performer, has found the perfect mix for his powerful singing voice, natural wit and uncanny ability to capture and re-create the essence of some of the biggest stars in the entertainment business; Master Magician "Lance Burton" who continues to amaze showgoers with his unbelievable skills of prestidigitation.

  7. EXHIBITOR SPONSORED EVENTS

It is a firm MASONRY SHOW policy that exhibitor sponsored events (meetings, inspection trips, hospitality suite openings, etc.) cannot be held during exhibit hours.

  8. HOSPITALITY SUITES must remain closed during the exhibit hours. Exhibitors aware of a violation of this policy should report the violation to Show Management.

EXHIBITORS VIOLATING ANY SHOW RULES OR REGULATIONS WILL LOSE THEIR PRIORITY FOR BOOTH ASSIGNMENT AT THE NEXT EXPOSITION. NO EXCEPTIONS.

  9. SHOW SPECIALS AND DISCOUNTS: COMPLIMENTARY PROMOTIONAL ORDER FORM

A Sale Flyer depicting all the savings and promotions taking place at THE MASONRY SHOW will be distributed. The on site printing of the Sale Flyer will include company names and booth locations to help direct contractors into your booth. (If your company has a logo available in and "EPS" or "TIFF" file, we will include the icon with the promotional offer as well.) The Sale Flyer will be distributed to all attendees of THE MASONRY SHOW. Complimentary Promotional Order Forms are included in this binder, or call 800/536-2225 for more information.

  10. EXHIBITOR PARTNERSHIP

The Mason Contractors Association of America is introducing a new MASONRY SHOW promotional program designed as a "partnership" between your firm and the MCAA to show our appreciation to mason contractor attendees. This partnership, made possible with the support of the RIO Hotel and Convention Center, rewards attendees for placing orders during THE MASONRY SHOW.

This promotional program is not in lieu of your regular discounts or SHOW specials that you will be offering contractor attendees. More information is available in this binder or by calling 800/536-2225.

  11. GOOD NEIGHBOR POLICY

Exhibitors operating sound producing equipment must keep the volume to a reasonable level in order not to disturb neighboring exhibitors. Exhibitor materials which block the line of sight to your neighbor's booth by violating the "display rules and regulations" will be required to correct the obstruction.

It is recommended that each exhibitor closely review the Display Rules before designing the booth layout. These rules will be strictly enforced.

Exhibitors displaying machinery or vehicles will generally be exempted from line of sight rules. If you have any questions, call Rachel Young at 800/536-2225.

PLEASE DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE EXHIBITOR ADVISORY COMMITTEE MAKES THEIR INSPECTION.

  12. IF YOU WILL NOT PERSONALLY BE INVOLVED IN SETTING UP YOUR EXHIBIT - please be sure your setup crew knows exactly what has been ordered, date of orders, route and carrier of display shipments, etc.

  13. AN EXHIBITOR SERVICE DESK will be maintained in the exhibit hall. All questions concerning exhibit services should be taken there. In additions, Show Management will be available during all hours of the show. If you need assistance, go to the Exhibitor Service Desk or the Exhibitor Registration Desk and ask for Show Management. They are there to assist with any and all problems.

  14. EXHIBITOR ASSIGNED CONTRACTORS

Exhibitors who will be utilizing contractors other than those officially appointed by Show Management to provide services for the exhibit, ARE REQUIRED TO NOTIFY THE OFFICAL DRAYAGE CONTRACTOR THROUGH SHOW MANAGEMENT 30 DAYS PRIOR TO THE FIRST SCHEDULED INSTALLATION DATE FOR THIS EVENT. EXHIBITORS MAY NOT USE AN OUTSIDE DRAYAGE CONTRACTING SERVICE, ELECTRICAL OR PLUMBING CONTRACTOR OTHER THAN THOSE OFFICIALLY CONTRACTED BY SHOW MANAGEMENT.

  15. LABOR ASSISTANCE

Should you encounter any problems concerning labor, rules, regulations and/or jurisdictions, please report the difficulty to a GES representative.

  16. LEAD RETRIEVAL SYSTEM

To obtain quick, legible records of the names and addresses of visitors requesting your literature or other information, exhibitors may rent a lead retrieval system from the contractor providing the automated registration system for this event. The order form for these materials is included in this manual.

  17. DEMONSTRATIONS, presentations, and sampling must be conducted far enough within the booth so crowds that gather are contained within the parameters of the booth. Spectators are not permitted to stand in the aisle to watch such demonstrations.

EQUIPMENT DEMONSTRATION REQUEST FORMS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS MANUAL, AND MUST BE RETURNED BY JANUARY 15, 2000. PLEASE NOTE ONLY ELECTRIC OR PROPANE FUELED EQUIPMENT WILL BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE.

  18. EXHIBIT GIVEAWAYS

In an effort to bring your best customers back to your booth, we are suggesting all exhibitors refrain from distributing any product, materials or giveaways until the final day of the show. This is in everyone's best interest.

Show Management requests pressure-sensitive advertising stickers not be distributed from your exhibits, as they end up on floors and walls - presenting a major clean-up problem for the exhibit hall. Exhibiting companies whose labels are found in the exposition hall will be held responsible for any damages or clean-up costs.

  19. EXHIBIT DISPLAYS - are limited to 8' in height and must be positioned at least 5' from the main traffic aisle. Low side dividers shall not exceed 48" in height. High side dividers over 48" in height must remain at least 5' from the main traffic aisle. Island and peninsula displays are permitted to a height of 16'.

Machinery and equipment are exempt from height limitations, but should be placed back from any aisle, shown either unskidded or on a standard shipping skid, and arranged in such a way that they are not dangerous to others. Machines may not be shown raised on a built-up platform.

Plans for specially built displays not in accordance with regulations must be submitted to Show Management before construction is ordered.

  20. SELLING ON SHOW FLOOR

Actual sales may not take place on the show floor; however, general IRS regulations allow the taking of orders. As long as product and money do not exchange hands no taxes should be incurred. It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to be aware of each state's individual tax requirements and regulations. Each exhibitor is responsible for any taxes they incur and for obtaining and filing appropriate tax forms.

  21. STANDARD EXHIBIT EQUIPMENT

Draped backwall (8') side rail dividers (36"), standard exhibit company sign (7" x 44" - 2 lines) and limited peripheral security are included in your space rental cost.

Floor coverings are included in your space rental cost. Additional carpet and padding may be ordered separately. If you bring your own carpet, drapes or curtains, they must be certified flameproof. Materials rented from the official contractor have been treated to meet the required safety specifications.

  22. INSURANCE COVERAGE against damage and loss, and public liability insurance against injury to a person and property is required. Exhibit materials must be covered from the time your exhibit shipment leaves your plant, during move-in, on show days, during move-out, and until all materials have been returned to point-of-origin. It is recommended that your seek this coverage through your current insurance carrier. Please see THE MASONRY SHOW exhibitor contract for additional information.

  23. PERIPHERAL SECURITY GUARD SERVICE only is provided by Show Management. This is not a guarantee of security. It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to protect his materials from loss or damage. See exhibit contract for liability and insurance information. We urge you to take every precaution to prevent loss or damage. Please see that small display and personal items are secure before you leave your exhibit- even temporarily. See the enclosed "Security Tips" for additional recommendations.

  24. EMPTY CRATES will be removed, stored, and returned without charge. "Empty" labels will be available at the Contractor's Service Desk and must be attached to all crates, cartons, and materials ready for storage.

  25. RUBBISH, materials not needed for repacking, or that is to be discarded after show closing, should be marked as RUBBISH and placed in the aisles for pickup. Rubbish should be put out in the aisles at the close of each show day for pickup.

  26. MERCHANDISE RELEASE PASSES

All merchandise carried from the main entrance of the exhibit hall during show hours must be accompanied by a Merchandise Release Pass. Passes can be obtained by showing your exhibitor credentials at the Exhibitor Registration Desk. (This procedure is a deterrent against theft and should not be perceived as a guarantee against items being taken off the show floor. It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to protect their materials from loss or damage.)

  27. MODELS AND DEMONSTRATORS

Show Management has no objection to the use of models or demonstrators in exhibitor booths provided they are properly clothed and dressed in good taste at all times. The wearing of scanty or "questionable" costumes will not be permitted. They must also limit their promotional activities to the confines of the exhibitor's contracted booth space.

  28. SHOW COLORS

MASONRY SHOW colors are black, gray and white. Carpet will be multi colored and is already provided by the facility.

  29. 2001 ADVANCE SPACE APPLICATIONS FOR THE MASONRY SHOW

Exhibitors who participate in THE MASONRY SHOW 2000 will be given first priority to reserve space for the 2001 SHOW. Advance Space Applications, along with a preliminary floor plan, will be distributed in Las Vegas. Show Management will host a reception to choose preferred locations on Thursday, February 10 between 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. in Board Room 1.

    January 23-24, 2001
Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida

  30. PHTOGRAPHS

Taking photographs inside the exhibit hall other than of your own booth is strictly prohibited. NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR PRODUCTS WITHOUT PERMISSION. Should this violation occur, notify Show Management immediately. Exhibitors are asked to assist Show Management in enforcing this policy. Please be advised that Show Management will not be responsible for prohibiting cameras on the show floor.

  31. PAGING OR ANNOUNCEMENT

No public announcements or paging are allowed in the exhibit hall except for emergencies and to announce the opening and closing of the show.

  32. HANGING SIGNS

The use of hangings signs will be permitted provided they are within the guidelines set forth under "Display Rules and Regulations." Hanging signs are only permitted in Island and Peninsula booths and are limited to a height of 16'.

  33. A REGISTRATION LIST of all registered attendees for THE MASONRY SHOW will be mailed to each exhibiting company.

  34. THE MASONRY SHOW is conducting a sponsorship program exclusively for exhibiting companies of THE MASONRY SHOW 2000. Several sponsorship opportunities are available which will enhance your company's visibility during the show.
