Executive Board Position Approved for Associates

Words: Michael SchmerbeckThe MCAA Board of Directors approved in concept an Executive Board position for the Association's National Associate members and has agreed to present a By-Laws change governing this new Board position to the membership at the Annual Meeting on February 22, 2006 at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando.

The purpose of this new Associate Executive Board position is to give dues paying associate members a formal vote on association matters. What was agreed to in principle is to allow the MCAA National Associate members to elect a representative that will serve a term of office equal to that of other Executive Board members. The Associate Board position will be allowed one vote on Board matters.

MCAA members will receive the By-Laws change proposal prior to the Annual Meeting.
